Troy Gonzales discovered his passion for women's wrestling by playing the WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2010 video game on the PlayStation Portable. He lists Mercedes Moné, AJ Lee, and Beth Phoenix as some of the women who got him invested in the product. Troy’s love for women’s wrestling would then inspire him to launch his podcast “Turning Heel with Troy Gonzales” in September of 2022 as a platform to cover the latest news and events in women’s professional wrestling and to interview various women in the industry. As a WWT contributor, he specializes in STARDOM, NJPW and Southeast Asian wrestling content creation both in written and video form.
Outside his work in women’s wrestling media, Troy is currently taking up his undergraduate studies for a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of the Philippines Diliman.
