Lyric Swinton is a South Carolina-bred Ph.D. student by day and pro wrestling podcaster, host, & writer by night, specializing in race, culture, & international affairs in wrestling. Wrestling has been her love for over 16 of her 25 years of life. You can typically find her watching & talking about AEW, ROH, NJPW, Stardom, NOAH, and anything else she finds captivating. Currently, she hosts a weekly podcast called Maps & Graps and writes & hosts multimedia content for Women’s Wrestling Talk, Monthly Puroresu, Wrestle Purists, & SNME Radio.

Lyric is a proud first-generation graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Sport & Entertainment Management with Leadership Distinction. She is also a former Forbes Under 30 Scholar, TEDx speaker, and Production & Distribution Manager for the internationally acclaimed "The Backbone" documentary. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph. D in Educational Foundations at the University of South Carolina with hopes of intertwining her passions for professional wrestling and education equity in her future dissertation.
