Miyu Yamashita wants to compete against Mercedes Monè.
Monè’s career has taken off in recent months. Sasha Banks debuted in NJPW at Wrestle Kingdom 17 on January 4 after leaving WWE. KAIRI lost the IWGP Women’s Championship to Monè at NJPW Battle in the Valley. Monè trained with Yamashita before returning to the ring, and now the TJPW star wants to face the champion.
During an interview with Fightful, Yamashita commented on her potential match with the CEO stating: “Of course. Of course, she wants it, she wants that match. If it happens, it’s going to blow the roof off whichever arena it takes place.” Yamashita whose no stranger around the world of professional wrestling. Being the Top star of TJPW as well as appearing in promotions in the United States such as Ring of Honor against ROH Women’s Champion “The Fallen Goddess” Athena, AEW against Thunder Rosa for the AEW Women’s championship, and Deadlock Pro Wrestling against Miyuki Takese as well as being the current and reigning Pro Wrestling Eve Champion.
Yamashita and Maki Itoh will face Max The Impaler and Heidi Howizter at TJPW Grand Princess 2023 on March 18. Wrestle Universe airs it. Yamashita will appear at TJPW Live in Los Angeles on March 31. She and Itoh will face Yuka Sakazaki and Mizuki. FITE TV will air it.
