NWA Women’s Champion Kamille Disagrees With Forbidden Door Concept

The NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille says it may be controversial but she isn’t a big fan of the forbidden door concept.

Many wrestlers have been collaborating with other organizations to get matchups we wouldn’t ordinarily see. She herself worked with AEW’s Legit Leyla Hirsch at NWA EmPowerrr back in August. Every major company has participated in the forbidden door concept including WWE. However, only men’s wrestling would benefit from this, and Kenny Omega would be the only one to make use of it, leaving the ladies idle. Kamille was asked whether she wanted to meet current AEW TBS champion, Jade Cargill, on the Battleground podcast, a subject she is asked often.

“That would definitely interest me,” she said. “To be honest, and this might be controversial or people think I’m crapping on stuff, I’m not the biggest fan of the forbidden door and how open it’s been lately. Contracts are contracts for a reason. people should stay at companies for a reason. If not, why have contracts? If everyone can go everywhere. It’s been taken away the specialness of [appearing for a different company] when it happens. I wish we’d pull back a little bit and everyone stay at the company for a little while.

“Then, imagine, something like that if no one has been switched around for a while, how big a deal it would be because I do get all the time ‘Kamille and Jade, that’s what I want to see.’ How would I fare against her? I think I’d fare very well. She played college basketball, I played college softball. We have that athlete’s mindset to win and do whatever it takes to win. It’d be an interesting matchup and I definitely think people would be tuning in to watch.”

Her victory against AEW’s Serena Deeb in June earned her the NWA World Women’s Title. After defending her NWA Women’s Championship against Kylie Rae and Chelsea Green at the NWA Crockett Cup on March 20. Her opponents include Leyla Hirsch, Kenzie Paige, Melina, Kiera Hogan, and Taryn Terrell. After Green won the number one contenders women’s invitational at EmPowerrr, she successfully defended her title against Green in singles.

Would you be here for “The Brickhouse” to dethrone Jade for her TBS title and break Jade’s 30-0 undefeated streak???
