Ronda Rousey recently conducted a Facebook broadcast in which she played video games and answered questions from fans, all at the same time. During this video, she spoke about the nasty words she received from spectators in the stadia while she performed. It’s difficult for the former UFC fighter not to take it personally since she’s not playing a role, she acknowledged. This makes things more difficult for Ronda, who emphasized that she’s in the ring for herself.
“It’s hard not to take it personally from the fans. Because I don’t go out there as I mean, I do go out there as a character. But I am also actually Ronda Rousey,” she expressed. “I don’t play Ronda Rousey on television so sometimes I take it personally from the fans.”
Wrestling Observer Radio recently claimed that WWE needed to speak to Ronda after her first promo back with the business. On the other hand, her performance last Friday improved since she was taken out of the room.
Also, Ronda Rousey spoke about the strain of taking the stage last during a concert. A similar predicament arose for her recently on SmackDown when it came time for her to choose her WrestleMania 38 opponent selection. When put in that position, the former Raw Women’s Champion confessed she feels a lot of pressure.
“It’s such pressure when I’m last on the show,” Rousey proclaimed. “It’s like, my responsibility to retain the ratings and like deliver, you know?”
During this year’s Royal Rumble Premium event, Ronda Rousey made a triumphant comeback to WWE. She came in at number 28 and went on to win the match, eliminating Shotzi, Brie Bella, Nikki A.S.H., and Charlotte Flair along the way. Rousey has already announced that she will face the Queen at WrestleMania 38.
