Amazing things have happened in the last few weeks. It’s a dream come true to be able to cover these women’s promotions. This is the final installment in this series, and it’s a bummer that it is coming to an end. As of today, there are a number of promotions working to keep women’s wrestling alive. Now, without further ado, let’s get down to business!
Vixens Wrestling Revolution
via Title Match Network
I had the pleasure of covering them for my first ever article with Women’s Wrestling Talk, but here is a bit of a refresher. VCW is a direct result of the great and diverse talent that has walked through the doors of Renegade Wrestling Revolution’s Vixens Division. VCW, which was born from that division, has already created a name for itself in Texas and throughout the world. Many rising stars have appeared in the ring throughout the years including Red Velvet and Thunder Rosa. Additional people include Insidious One, Hyan, and former Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion Rok-C.
Since their first show, they have been picking up steam along with fans. The high quality matches and safe environment make for a great show to be experienced. You can find out more about them on their twitter @VWRProWrestling including more information about their upcoming 4/16 show, Come Out and Play.
Mission Pro Wrestling
via Squarespace
This list would be incomplete if it did not mention the house that Thunder Rosa built. Mission Pro Wrestling bills itself as “an all-woman pro wrestling company based out of Central Texas on a mission to bring you the best in wrestling entertainment!” Mission Pro takes that distinction seriously, as it delivers quality shows on the regular.
The current champion Holidead, along with the rest of the star studded roster and alumni put on an amazing show during Wrestlemania weekend called Bangerz Only. That card promoted Holidead vs LuFisto for the MPW Title, as well as Thunder Rosa taking on Trish Adora. With Thunder at the helm, and a cast of amazing commentators, ring staff and backstage production, Mission Pro will be going strong for years to come.
NCW Femmes Fatales
via Ringbelles
NCW (Les Promotions NCW Inc.) in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, has a female section called Femmes Fatales. Their all-female wrestling shows featuring some of the world’s finest combatants are the company’s ultimate goal. They hope to provide this in a way that helps their own community’s talent as well. To provide the best possible experience for their fans, Femmes Fatales presents dream bouts between the best athletes on the circuit. If you’re a fan of female wrestling and want to discover new talent from in Canada, you’ll love nCW Femme Fatals.
Current roster talent includes Allysin Kay, Angie Skye, Cheerleader Melissa, Cherry Bomb, Courtney Rush, Dézirée, Kellie Skater, Leah Von Dutch. Also note that Indie Hall of Famer LuFisto, Mary Lee Rose, Mercedes Martinez and Midianne. Rounding out the list is Missy, Pink Flash Kira, Portia Perez, Sassy Stephie, She Nay Nay, and Xandra Bale. They also often bring in talent from Japan, Australia, England, France, the United States and Ireland
In addition to these, the Professional Girl Wrestling Association, Women’s Wrestling Revolution, ChickFight, Pro Wrestling Women’s Alliance, and Wrestlicious are also worthwhile organizations to check out. Also, there will be articles about the best promotions for Women’s Wrestling from both Japan and the United Kingdom in the near future.
