ALICIA SALAZAR | HOST

Alicia Salazar, also known as “Al,” has been a fan of professional wrestling for more than two decades. She attended numerous WWE events as a child in Fresno, California. She briefly filmed and edited entrance videos for a defunct local independent company when she was in her late teens. In November of 2018, she and her close friend Emelia cofounded the Kayfabe Queens podcast, which was inspired by a desire for more female voices in wrestling media.

Since then, Salazar has conducted numerous interviews with wrestlers with a focus on highlighting west coast talent. Additionally, she and her co-host Emelia launched a wrestling zine in 2018 titled “Hot Tag” in which they write about a different topic in each issue; they have published four issues to date. In the future, she hopes to work for a major company and further her career in wrestling media.
