Wrestling has been plagued with beauty gimmicks throughout its history. Many people have exclaimed that they are the most attractive, the most appealing, and so on while talking about themselves. As the Mad Esthetician, Amber Rodriguez has proven herself as a new face and a new gimmick on the Indy scene since May of 2012.
Duane Gill, also known as Gillberg, was Rodriguez’s first coach when she began her professional career. At the World Xtreme Wrestling, “C4 go 4 the gold” event, Amber made her debut in a Diamond Diva Championship number one contender bout. After a brief appearance in a World Xtreme Wrestling mixed tag team battle in 2013, she appeared a few times again in 2014. Her appearances at WXW were few, but she was victorious in a match against Niya Jax.
During this same period, Rodriguez appeared in Primal Conflict Wrestling, where she competed in a few bouts here and there. Pro Wrestling Syndicate and Covey Promotions were her following stops. It was during this time that she competed against some of the most well-known stars in women’s wrestling and even won the PWS Bombshells Majestic Championship and the vacant CP Women’s Championship.
At Maryland Championship Wrestling, Amber was able to win the women’s championship, which was a major accomplishment for her career. In 2015, Mickie James snatched her title from her grasp and ended her reign. Since then, Amber has appeared in numerous independent wrestling promotions across the country, and she has even made it to a major one, appearing on AEW Dark.
Amber Rodriguez is more than simply a talented wrestler; she’s also an Esthetician by day. Amber’s goal is to supply a wide range of services to the public to spread a message of self-love, acceptance, and care in the world of beauty. When it comes to Black achievement, there is no better role model than Amber Rodriguez.
