For 18-year-old Brittnie Brooks, it’s wrestling over everything, and if that means missing her senior prom to travel to California to wrestle, then that’s exactly what she’s going to do. She recently made her debut at KnokX Pro in Bakersfield, CA which was, unfortunately, the same weekend as her prom. However, Brittnie realizes that these opportunities are going to move her further along in her career.
“Nobody’s like missing their prom because they’re wrestling in California. It’s really special, and I think now is the time when I need to be doing all this. I’m missing out on a lot of typical, normal teenage things. But at the same time, my coach always tells me ‘If you want to make it, you have to grind now like the best in WWE and AEW.’ So, it’s like, get as good as you humanly can right now. And then once I graduate, I’m going to be able to do even more.”
Brittnie wants to be one of the best to ever do it, but she knows she has a lot of work to do in the meantime. When asked why she’s one to watch, here’s what she had to say:
“I’m one to watch because every time I step in the ring, I just bring an energy. And I feel like when I walk out there, your eyes turn to me. I don’t ever have an ego or anything, but I think that there’s a difference between your ego and confidence. I want to have that confidence to be like when you watch me…One day I’m gonna make it and one day I’m going to be a megastar. So you better watch me pre-mega star because I’m the megastar, Brittnie Brooks!”
