Gisele Shaw Keeps the Title, But Matt Cardona Drops the Bomb

The Quintessential Diva is still sitting pretty on the Canadian throne — but the win didn’t come clean.

Gisele Shaw successfully retained her MLP Women’s Canadian Championship at Resurrection this past Saturday, defeating Shotzi Blackheart in what was already a hotly anticipated match-up. But what fans didn’t expect? A dose of Radio Silence from Matt Cardona.

Yes, that Matt Cardona.

This was Shaw’s second title defense since being crowned the inaugural champion back in May. She’s already proven her dominance by taking down Kylie Rae twice — once in the tournament finals and again in a rematch. But Shotzi was a different kind of storm — unpredictable, relentless, and out for redemption.

The match itself was wild, hard-hitting, and everything you’d expect from two high-octane performers. But the tide turned when the referee was inadvertently knocked out during the chaos. That’s when Cardona slithered in — and the crowd lost it.

Cardona and Shotzi already had bad blood after a vicious encounter at GCW in June that reportedly left Shotzi with a broken arm. So when Cardona hit the ring and dropped her with his signature Radio Silence, the writing was on the wall.

Shaw, ever the opportunist, capitalized on the moment and secured the three-count just as the ref came back to life.

The aftermath? Fans booing. Shaw smirking. And Shotzi, once again, left picking up the pieces after another run-in with the self-proclaimed Indy God.

Gisele Shaw may still be champ — but the question now is, at what cost?

And as for Cardona and Shotzi… this story is far from over.
