GLOW’s Babe The Farmer’s Daughter Ursula Hayden Passes Away

Babe The Farmer’s Daughter, one of the original GLOW’s most iconic members, has passed away. According to PWInsider, Ursula Hayden, who originated the role of Babe in David McLane’s 1980s women’s promotion, recently passed away at the age of 56 following a battle with cancer.

In the 1970s and early 1980s, Hayden, who was born in Santa Monica in 1966, began her professional career as a model. At the age of 17, she took first place in the Miss Perfect Teen Pageant. After auditioning for GLOW’s second season, she played The Princess of Darkness. She played Babe the Farmer’s Daughter when the role didn’t fit. Although Babe was her most famous persona, she also played Donna Matrix on Family Feud, Married… with Children, and other shows to help the business.

By the time Ursula Hayden acquired GLOW in 2001, he was the only holder of the company’s trademarks and video archive. Over the years, she promoted a few events under the GLOW label and contributed to the 2012 documentary GLOW: The Story of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling. Along with appearing on The Bachelor in 2018 to prepare the contestants for a wrestling-style challenge, Hayden also worked as a consultant on Netflix’s GLOW series, which ran from 2017 to 2020.

We send our sympathies to Ms. Hayden’s loved ones, friends, and supporters on behalf of WWT. Her absence will be felt keenly.
