MJ Jenkins is ready to conquer the ring as she returns to the squared circle after almost two years. Her opponent will be Trish Adora at GCW’s For the Culture event which takes place April 1st in Dallas TX. Jenkins, who was previously signed to WWE under the NXT brand, was released by WWE in April 2020. Despite not formally making her debut on televised NXT programming, Jenkins was frequent on live events for the brand pre-pandemic.
She participated in the 2018 Mae Young Classic losing to Rhea Ripley in the first round. Jenkins has only performed one match for AEW after her WWE release in July 2020, a losing tag team matches with Kenzie Paige at Fight for the Fallen. On April 1, Tasha Steelz will defend her Impact Knockouts championship against Big Swole.
Briana Brandy (previously B-Fab) will be in the HitMakerz (formerly Hit Row) corner against Shane Taylor Promotions. Brandy worked with Jenkins in NXT on their live shows. It will be interesting to see if Brandy and Jenkins have a run-in with each other at the event.
