Ronda Rousey's ROH debut

Ronda Rousey has made it clear that since her exit from WWE, she doesn’t have any desire to give up on her presence in the wrestling world. From appearing in tag team action with Marina Shafir at Wrestling Revolver in tag team action a few weeks ago. To accepting the open challenge that ROH women’s championship Athena and Billie Starkz made on this weeks episode of ROH TV.
Logically ROH is the best place for Ronda Rousey to be if you think about it. A promotion that thrives on having legit fighters, with MMA backgrounds, who have the potential to make it in the wrestling world.
I believe that having Marina Shafir tag with Ronda helped to the pressure off of Ronda’s debut. There seemed to be a relaxed, yet excited demeanor resonating off of Ronda. The fans were certainly behind her, giving Rousey a huge pop, when the music hit.
Great team work from both teams. Athena and Billie Starkz were putting Ronda over in the best way. I loved the collective effort that Ronda and Marina had to make Athena and Billie tap at any moment that they could.
The preview of what will come, when Ronda eventually challenges for that ROH world women’s title against Athena was awesome to see. There’s some great in ring chemistry with both women, that I think can bring out a hell of a match. I think that Athena took Ronda to her limit toward the end of the match. Perhaps Ronda wasn’t expecting that level of competition. Athena is not a champion to take lightly.
The match ends with Ronda getting that famous arm lock on Billie Starkz as Athena looks on helplessly because, she is caught in a leg lock put on by Shafir. Billie taps out and we can only guess that Athena will not be happy with her Minion in Training after this loss.
Great booking from ROH to have Ronda and Shafir for that matter look like a million bucks in this rage match.
I don’t think that Ronda could’ve gotten a better debut. Truly looking forward to seeing who she faces off with next.
