Sarray Reportedly Leaves WWE, Set To Return To Japan

Sarray will be making her way back to Japan.

According to Tokyo Sports, NXT superstar Sarray’s time with WWE is coming to an end as her contract is expired.

On May 16, the two-time Woman Pro Wrestling Diana world champion will return to the ring for “Sareee-ISM” in Tokyo. The 26-year-old Japanese wrestler is expected to hold a press conference next week to discuss her return to pro wrestling in Japan. Sarray made her debut when she was just 15 years old in April 2011. Sareee wrestled for Woman Pro-Wrestling DIANA, Sendai Girls’ Wrestling, JWP Joshi, Pro Wrestling Wave, and SEAdLINNING. She later got signed by WWE but her debut was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Sarray made her NXT debut against Zoey Stark after 14 months had passed since she signed with the Stamford-based promotion.

In January 2022, Sarray introduced a new gimmick that allowed her to change her appearance using her grandmother’s medallion. Sarray wrestled then-NXT Women’s champion Mandy Rose and participated in England’s now-defunct “NXT UK” brand on WWE NXT.
