“The Man” Steals the Gold in a War for the Ages at MITB

Becky Lynch and Lyra Valkyria tore the house down in a brutal and deeply personal war at Money in the Bank 2025 — but it was Lynch who walked out with the gold… and a handful of tights.

The stipulation was clear: if Becky Lynch lost, she could never challenge Lyra Valkyria for the Women’s Intercontinental Championship again. High stakes. High tension. High drama. And the end result? One of the most intense women’s matches in WWE history.

Lynch entered, draped in a crimson, floor-length fur coat, exuding main character energy as she soaked in the crowd’s reaction. Valkyria followed in golden battle gear, wings and all — the visual embodiment of a champion.

But before the bell even rang, Valkyria struck. No handshake. No hesitation. Just fists. The champ took the fight straight to Lynch, battering her out of the ring and connecting with a middle-rope dropkick attempt — that Lynch smartly countered, flipping the momentum.

What followed was fifteen minutes of pure warfare.

Lynch hit a Becksploder early and went hunting for a quick win. Valkyria fired back with her own near-falls, including one off a devastating sit-down gut-wrench powerbomb. The counters came fast and furious: Lynch reversed the Nightwing, Valkyria reversed the armbar. DDTs, suplexes, moonsaults, and even a leg drop off the announce table. Neither woman blinked.

At one point, Valkyria nearly decapitated Lynch with a flying crossbody on the outside, then draped her over the barricade for that announce-table leg drop. But Lynch — ever the ring general — baited Valkyria into a high-risk hurricanrana, only to powerbomb her out of the air into a near-fall that had the crowd on edge.

Then came the turning point: the Avalanche Man-handle Slam. Lynch hit it clean, but Valkyria kicked out. Barely. Furious, Lynch sent Valkyria headfirst into the ring post on the outside and followed up with another Man-handle Slam. Still not enough.

Back in the ring, Valkyria landed a last-gasp Nightwing, nearly earning a double count-out in the process. The two champions-in-spirit swung wildly with everything left in them. It ended not with a knockout move, but a roll-up — a dirty one.

Becky Lynch clutched the ropes and Valkyria’s tights, stealing the pin and the title in 15:16.

Winner: Becky Lynch def. Lyra Valkyria to become the new WWE Women’s Intercontinental Champion

But that wasn’t the end.

Bound by the pre-match stipulation, Valkyria reluctantly raised Lynch’s arm in all four corners. A gesture of respect. But Becky demanded more — she wanted the title buckled around her waist like a queen being crowned. Valkyria complied… and then snapped.

A German suplex. A final Nightwing. The crowd roared. Lynch was left sprawled out, the new champion — but not the better woman.

In defeat, Valkyria looked more like a star than ever. In victory, Lynch reminded the world that she’ll do whatever it takes to remain at the top.

In a night full of money-grabbing, this match was pure gold.
