Will Ronda Rousey & Charlotte Flair Main Event WM 38? Ronda Does

Ronda Rousey believes she and Charlotte Flair will main event WrestleMania 38 for the Smackdown Women’s Championship.

Ronda Rousey makes a visit on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” as the Road to WrestleMania approaches its endpoint. The Olympian, MMA great, wrestler, and actress, who will face Charlotte Flair at WrestleMania this Sunday, gives an in-studio interview. Rousey discusses her recent comeback to the ring, citing her mother as an inspiration. She also discusses her latest nursing picture.

Rousey discusses her comeback to compete months after giving birth during her appearance on Ellen with Ellen DeGeneres.

“My mom, she was an example of being a working, strong mother. She was working as an engineer and working for a Ph.D. and was the first American to the World Championships in Judo while she was a single mother, all at the same time. I always felt like I could do anything as a mom because of her and I wanted to give my little girl that same example. Oh, and my mom made weight and won the US Open six weeks after giving birth to my sister Maria.

“I was like, ‘I don’t think I can beat that record, but I can’t just let it lie. So, I got to do something cool.’ As soon as I knew my due date, I was like, ‘You know what, I bet I could come back and win the Royal Rumble and go to WrestleMania within that timeframe.’

“I set that goal and it seemed insane at first, especially right after giving birth because I just got hit by like a semi-truck carrying razor blades straight in the crotch. So, I was like, ‘I don’t know how this is going to work.’ I tried really hard and for there,” she stated. “I started my diet two weeks after. Six weeks, they’re like, ‘don’t do anything else, you could hurt herself.’ I waited until six weeks to start working out.”

Rousey chose Charlotte Flair for the SmackDown Women’s Championship as her WrestleMania opponent after winning the Royal Rumble. Rousey revealed to Ellen that she will compete in the WrestleMania main event on Saturday.

“I’m going to be in the main event for the second time. I was part of the first main event with women, this is the third. It’s becoming almost something that doesn’t even need to be mentioned anymore, which is the goal,” she proclaimed.

On Raw, Kevin Owens called his segment with Steve Austin the main event, while Vince McMahon declared Seth Rollins needs his own main event when introducing him for WrestleMania. WrestleMania Saturday will include all three matches/segments.
