Current Smackdown Star Zelina Vega commented on replacing NXT’s Elektra Lopez who’s been dropped from The Legado Del Fantasma.
¾ of Legado Del Fantasma members Santos Escobar, Joaquin Wilde (better known as DJ Z), & Cruz Del Toro made their main roster debut in October of last year for the Smackdown brand while Elektra didn’t receive a call up thus Zelina joining the group being the faction’s mouthpiece.
Zelina said during her interview on Out of Character, she noted that she didn’t know why Lopez wasn’t called up with her teammates saying:
“They (Legado Del Fantasma) had been with Elektra (Lopez) previously. “I have no idea how or why or what happened there, but it’s like, it’s fresh for everybody because now she’s doing her thing in NXT with her group and how she’s running that and then we have ours here so, who knows?
There might be a crossover there at some point. I mean, she might be super pissed at me and want to come and hit me and then there’s going to be a whole thing there, but I don’t know. Also, I think that is the cool thing is that you don’t know. I don’t even know.”
After forming an alliance with Rey Mysterio, Legado Del Fantasma are currently competing as “Latino World Order.” Legado has been helping Rey Mysterio deal with The Judgment Day, and during these encounters, Vega runs into SmackDown Women’s Champion Rhea Ripley.
A title opportunity would be nice for Vega if WWE held an event in Puerto Rico, and on May 6, Puerto Rico will be the location of the Backlash Premium Live Event. Vega expressed this hope earlier this year.
