AEW All Out Media Call Recap
We are less than 72 hours away from AEW All Out in the Windy City. I had the opportunity to participate in today's media call talking about the main match ups happening this weekend. In addition, I asked Tony Khan a question about the AEW Women's Tag Team Championship match between The Brawling Birds and Divine Dominion in a Chicago Street Fight. Since winning the tag team titles at All In, the feud between both teams have been heating up and the Divine Dominion sees the Birds as a main threat in the AEW Women's Tag Team division. My question to Tony is seeing this as a potential blood feud to support the AEW Women's Tag Team Division after All Out. He noted that he is enjoying the rivalry between all four of these ladies with the added factor of a Chicago Street Fight that will leave no one unbroken. I am happy we are getting the spotlight on the AEW Women's Tag Team Division and want to see this continue to build in the coming months.
Another update we found from the media call is we will be getting a Worlds End PPV to end 2026. As people know, Worlds End is the final PPV of the year for AEW and concludes the anticipated Continental Classic. Tony Khan told the media to be on the lookout for outstanding updates in the coming weeks.
We also had an update related to the AEW Women's Champion Mercedes Mone as she was supposed to wrestle at AEW All Out but can't due to her nose injury. Tony Khan confirmed that she will be back next month and that's why we have the match between Willow Nightingale and Thekla to determine who will face the champ at Wrestledream next month. Tony noted that Mercedes' injury did change things but will still be a fighting champion. I'm happy to hear that safety and health comes first when you hear stories similar to Mercedes but I am looking forward to seeing her reign as AEW Women's Champion.
