Bayley's AAA Wrestling Journey

For a while, we’ve seen examples of what a difference a change in environment can make for a wrestler.
As well as how vital it is to be given an opportunity to find out what works for you in a certain stage in your career.
Over the past two weeks, the wrestling world has been rejoicing over the work of Ludwig Kaiser and Chad Gable as El Grande Americano and the “The Original” El Grande Americano.
These two talents that were able to build themselves up in an amazing feud in AAA wrestling. They did not have to feel that their storyline would lose its momentum or randomly be scrapped and their careers being stuck in limbo. Or feel the pain of being taken off of TV just when the feud was gaining steam.
The gift of also being in front of a crowd that has learned to let a storyline flow organically is a blessing. To have an audience be patient enough to let each wonderful chapter unfold is magical.
The mask that they both donned allowed Ludwig and Chad to transform and feel that the possibilities were endless in this stage of their careers.
That they had nothing to lose and everything to gain with building a name for themselves within this promotion and having the whole world root them on.
I feel that this too will be the case for Bayley over the course of the next few months.

Bayley’s AAA debut in March brought a white hot reaction and showed that she is a great asset to the AAA/WWE partnership.
Her match against Flammer helped to showcase the chemistry that she has with the women on the AAA roster.
It also put a spotlight on some phenomenal female talent in AAA that are getting looked at by fans of WWE because they want to keep up with Bayley.

Flammer put out an open challenge for anyone that wanted to compete for the reina de reinas championship.
This match was aggressive, hard hitting and fast paced. It also set the tone that Flammer and Bayley have some more amazing matches with each other moving forward.
Flammer has held the prestigious Reina de Reinas championship since 2023 after defeating Taya Valkyrie.
So, it only makes sense to have someone as accomplished as Bayley come in to challenge such an unbeatable champ like Flammer. I love how AAA is letting it build up to another match between the two. As opposed to simply letting a WWE star just come in and defeat such a strong champ like Flammer.
The AAA wrestling crowd has really flocked to Bayley. Which isn’t surprising considering everything that Bayley could do in the ring, and the name that she’s has developed for herself globally.
After having an exciting debut, but not winning her match against Flammer, Bayley started to see that she needs allies to combat the intimidating, and effective entourage of Flammer.
This brings in La Catalina and Lola Vice.

This pairing doesn’t seem forced or void of chemistry, like I’ve witnessed for a few years with solo female wrestlers that have just been placed together as a team overnight on RAW or Smackdown.
All three women really bring something to this alliance. As was proven when they tagged during the Noches de Los Grandes event on May 30th against Las Toxicas.

Sure they all are tremendous solo stars that will continue to put on stellar matches with separate feuds of their own. However, the matches where they’ve tagged together have been very fun and exciting to watch.
As a long time Bayley fan, it has been extremely hard to see the constant start and stop runs from her recent time on the main roster in WWE.
Or the blatant disrespect that was shown to her with being pulled off of Wrestlemania 41.
The sad truth of it is that it feels like the natural campy and fun loving personality that Bayley had in NXT was disliked by the producers and casual fans of RAW and smackdown.
So, that part of Bayley that die hard fans of the early NXT loved, was thrown away the moment that she left NXT. It seems like some people couldn’t understand that it’s okay to be a total babyface with the fans and still really pack a punch as a stellar athlete once you hit the squared circle.
All these attempts to make Bayley a heel and try change the fact that whatever she does the fans are still going to cheer seemed so pointless to me.
Now that she is spending time in AAA, I see the remnants of the NXT Bayley.
The Bayley that felt that she could play around with her character and have some real fun.
To have a crowd that understands her humor, wit and charisma, but looks forward to seeing the five star matches that she can produce.
You can truly see a sense of joy, pride and reinvigoration in Bayley since making the proactive choice to explore her options in AAA.
I truly look forward to seeing what else Bayley will do in AAA wrestling.
