Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month: Indi Hartwell

Indi Hartwell is known mostly for her work in WWE. She is a former WWE NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion and has become a veteran of her brand. Since the beginning of her wrestling career, she wrestled in other promotions such as World Series Wrestling, SHIMMER, and Newcastle Pro Wrestling.

In addition, she is a former BCW Women’s Champion and former Riot City Wrestling Women’s Champion. In 2020, Hartwell places 83 in the top 100 female wrestlers presented by Pro Wrestling Illustrated Women’s 100.

The Australian native begins her career at the early age of 19. During that time, she begins training in Melbourne at the Professional Championship Wrestling Academy. In November 2019, shortly after signing to WWE, Hartwell makes her NXT debut at a live event. Less than a year later, she gains her first NXT win.

In 2021, Hartwell receives her first championship win in WWE. Alongside partner Candice LeRae, they defeat the team of Ember Moon and Shotzi Blackheart and become NXT Tag Team Women’s Champions.

Some of her inspirations include Bayley, Sasha Banks, and Charlotte Flair. She speaks highly of her relationship with LeRae and Johnny Gargano and the help they give to her career. Her most recent storyline gives us a different side of Hartwell as she finds love and happiness with Dexter Lumis.

Last year, she sat down with Sean Ross Sapp from Fightful to discuss her storyline with Lumis and her time in The Way. She goes on to give her dream match, a triple threat match between Sasha Banks and Bayley.

For Hispanic Heritage month, we celebrate the “Impressive” Indi Hartwell for all her hard work and dedication to Women’s Wrestling.
