Well… this one stings.

Elayna Black — formerly known to WWE fans as Cora Jade — has officially announced she’s stepping away from wrestling for the foreseeable future. And honestly? While it hurts, it’s a move that screams growth, boundaries, and survival.
The 23-year-old star broke the news via social media, sharing that she had originally recorded a 10-minute video explaining everything, but decided to keep it short instead:
Real talk? That’s courage. Wrestling can chew you up, spit you out, and ask for another take — especially when you’re young, talented, and constantly expected to give more. Elayna gave us years of grit, creativity, and emo-tinted excellence. From her run in WWE as the skater-girl rebel Cora Jade, to diving back into the indie grind post-release, she’s done more by 23 than most could dream.
Her last match was at Prestige Combat Clash ’25 on July 13, teaming with Brooke Havok in a losing effort against The IInspiration (Cassie Lee & Jessica McKay). She’s also been a regular fixture for GCW, AIW, and other indie darlings since May, making waves without missing a beat.
But burnout is real. The wrestling world moves fast, and the pressure to constantly perform, evolve, and stay relevant? It’s brutal.
Elayna apologized to fans and promoters who had upcoming bookings, but asked for understanding — and she deserves it. Wrestling will still be here when and if she’s ready to return. For now? We’re just sending her all the love, healing, and hope that the spark finds its way back.
Take all the time you need, Elayna. We’ll be here — front row, sign in hand, whenever you’re ready. 💙
