NWA World Women’s Champion Kamille knows her opponent for the NWA 74 two-night event.
On this week’s edition of EmPowerrr during the NWA’s Powerrr show, Taya Valkyrie faced KiLynn King in a bout for the number one contendership. King recently attempted to defeat the champion but was unsuccessful. Again, King was at the wrong position at the wrong moment, as Valkyrie beat her.
Valkyrie will attempt to add a sixth championship to her collection (she currently has five championships) and become the next NWA World Women’s Champion. She currently holds the Knockouts World Tag Team Champion, the AAA Reina de Reinas Champion titles, XPW Women’s Champion, and MLW Women’s Champion.
Since defeating Serena Deeb to win the title last year, Kamille has remained the champion for 416 days and counting. Speaking of the title, she was also in action on this week’s program and had to ensure she made it to NWA 74. She defended her championship by defeating Chelsea Green. Kamille versus Valkyrie will occur on the first night of the next tournament.
Kenzie Paige, a member of the champion NWA World Women’s Tag Team, faced Kaci Lennox. This was Lennox’s first appearance in NWA. Paige would greet Lennox’s entrance into NWA with regret.
In addition, the NWA has confirmed the future NWA World Women’s Television Championship. Madusa was there to announce the new championship, and Allysin Kay was also present.
It was initially reported by PWInsider that this title will be revealed on this week’s program and that it seemed Kay would be pushed to become the first champion. If Kay is crowned first, she will be the first woman in NWA history to win the Triple Crown. Kay believes that Billy Corgan established the title just for her to win. The title will most likely be crowned on Night Two of NWA 74, however, no other information was offered.
The Burke Invitational, which will be held for a second time, was also previously believed to be returning. On Night Two, the winner will face the championship between Kamille and Valkyrie. The match will take place at NWA 74 on Night One.
