Kiera Hogan Reflects On Her Time With The Baddies

Jade Cargill and The Baddies got the wrestling world talking after she had her lawyer, “Smart” Mark Sterling inform Baddie Kiera Hogan she was no longer part of the group after messing up a couple of times on the November 23 edition of AEW Dynamite. Not only did the betrayal come as a shock to fans, but to Hogan herself.

“I am grateful,” Hogan told Busted Open Radio on the November 30 edition of the show. “Timing is everything and everything happens for a reason. My time in the Baddies was great. I saw, from the beginning, how amazing this group could be. I saw the t-shirts, the figures, and the big picture. That’s what drew me into the storyline. Jade has started the Baddies sections and I was like ‘I’m going to see if I can get in this Baddies section because they have random fans and people in the section.

I sent out a test to Jade, ‘you could have the hottest section if you have the hottest flame.’ That blew up and I texted Tony Khan to see if I could sit in the section one week. He was like, ‘Yeah come on.’ At the time, Red Velvet was turning heel, so we ended up in the section at the same time, so it worked out organically that way. The storyline grew from there. The entrances we had were amazing.

I understood. Leila Grey became a Baddie after Red Velvet was injured. I helped Jade and the Baddies a lot. My work was unappreciated. I still don’t know why I was fired. Wrestling has been impossible for months. My passion. I want to show off in the ring. I haven’t had the chance to show my talent and versatility. Hope I get my own spotlight and can put on banger matches with women who want them. Also, I want to work with so many locker room women. Toni Storm, Jamie Hayter, I just hope I can show my stuff in the women’s division.” (h/t Fightful

Hogan and Red Velvet joined Cargill’s Baddies in April after joining AEW in August last year. Leila Grey later joined them as interim Baddie after Red Velvet became sidelined with an injury.

Since Fyter Fest: Week Two, when she teamed up with Cargill to defeat Athena and Willow Nightingale, Hogan hasn’t been seen in the squared circle on Wednesday nights, but she has since made several appearances on Dark and Dark: Elevation.
