Mercedes Mone vs Vs Hazuki

A super focused Mercedes comes out. No flash or flaunting that we’re all use to, just determination.

Hazuki recently beat Persephone in the quarter finals to get this matchup with the former Owen Hart Tournament winner. Stardom wrestling is being represented with Hazuki in this match.

Mercedes gains control quite early and starts to feel herself. This does not rub off well on Hazuki, so she gets into gear and starts to take it to the CEO. Mercedes is visibly thrown off by the super quick and agile Hazuki and even steps out the ring looking in disbelief as her opponent gets the better of her. Even taking a look at the tournament trophy to give her some inspiration.

Mercedes gets back into this match with a lethal finisher that should’ve gotten Moné the win. Smartly, Hazuki kicks out of the pin and goes outside of the ring to regain her strength.

We see a frustrated Mone work to maintain control and get this win by any means necessary.

Hazuki gains momentum when she plants Mone with a DDT on the apron and a dives through the ropes shortly after. This makes the crowd go wild. With loud chants for Hazuki. The fans of Houston are really into this semi final match!

The strong offense from Hazuki really takes Mercedes out, but don’t ever count the former champ out. Moné gets those hips working and attempts the three amigos. Hazuki doesn’t let her get the last amigo though.

Mercedes quickly regains control and takes the match back out of the ring.

We come back from the commercial break with Hazuki throwing some serious punches to Mercedes in the corner of the ring. Hazuki does a senton and gets a crossface on Moné, but Moné counters out of the maneuver.

A slug fest from both women ensues as they are crouched down on the mat. Both clawing for a victory.

Hazuki delivers some brutal kicks to the face of Mercedes, and goes for the pin. Mercedes kicks out.

Mercedes is smart to exit the ring to buy time. A series of attempted pins by both women doesn’t reap results.

Moné quickly gets the statement maker in, but doesn’t get Hazuki to tap out.

CEO” chants reign in from the crowd

It becomes hard to know which women will win. Some crazy pin fall attempts keeps everyone in attendance on the edge of their seats!

A back stabber and statement maker finisher from Mercedes gives her the win.

The CEO makes it to the finals.

Hazuki is a hell of a talent and tore the house down on her AEW debut.  I forsee these women facing off again.

On the last leg of this tournament, we will see Athena and Mercedes More lock horns in the finals.

Be sure to follow AEW programming to see who else will advance in the semi finals.!!
