Earlier this month, I had the chance to cover Major League Wrestling (MLW) as they came to the city of Brotherly Love for two nights at the historic 2300 Arena. Both events were sold out and the crowd was electric all night. There were many superstars in attendance including the reigning MLW World Heavyweight Champion Killer Kross and MLW Women's World Champion Shotzi. Outside of the crowd and major players in MLW, what made this two night event special is seeing the ladies of Stardom entering American Soil which was a big deal. If you are not familiar with Stardom, it is the main female wrestling promotion in Japan that is making airwaves and many current WWE/AEW/ROH stars competed at Stardom before hitting the major wrestling promotions such as Toni Storm, Mina Shirakawa, Thekla, Blake Monroe, Iyo Sky, Jamie Hayter, Athena and Mercedes Moné.

During the two nights, the representatives from Stardom Saya Kamitani and RINA had meet and greets before the live shows plus were in action later in the evening competing against some of the top women in MLW. After the recent announcement of the strategic partnership between MLW and Stardom, this was a great opportunity to showcase in a city with wrestling history and this won't be the last time we see the ladies. I want to thank MLW for letting Women's Wrestling Talk cover both nights and look forward to their return to Philadelphia in October.
