“Toxic Attraction was, is and forever will be the most domain female attraction that this brand has ever seen. It’s 2023, it’s time we leave 2022 where it belongs, in the past. Now all eyes are on Jacy and I and those eyes will watch in remorse, watch as we push the envelope further than we ever did in the last 18 months as we cut through this roster with reckless abandon,” Gigi starts.
“Bonded by our battle scars, this year Gigi and I will be the ones calling all the shots and we don’t do stupid New Year’s resolutions, we do revenge. While the entire world watches our every single move, we only watch and care about one woman. One woman, one target, Roxanne Perez. You want to take down our Toxic Empire? Well, we’re going to rebuild it brick by brick,” Jacy said.
“Using your broken body in the foundation,” Gigi says as she is interrupted Indi Hartwell.
“I’m sick of hearing about Toxic Attraction. You know when Roxanne won the title, I thought that was the last of Toxic Attraction. But I don’t mind finishing what she started because it’s time for some new blood at the top of the division and that starts with me,” Indi said.
Indi is interrupted by Cora Jade, “Surprise, surprise. It’s Tuesday and Indi Hartwell are complaining once again. What’s new? Talk about a permanent lifeless personality, no wonder why everyone in your life left you. No one cares about you. No one wants you to be women’s champion, I deserve to be women’s champion. I already beat Roxanne Perez.”
Cora is interrupted by Nikkita Lyons, “Cora Jade, I’m surprised your ego even fits in this building. Listen, you claim you deserve the world but the only thing you really deserve is a kick to the face. You know what? Indi is right, it’s time for new blood at the top of this division and I will throw hands…” Nikkita starts as she is interrupted by Zoey Stark.
“Well, well, well, if it isn’t Nikkita Lyons, I knew i smelled bad TikTok dances and future regrets. Why the hell are you even out here Nikkita, don’t you have more important things to do, like showing your assets off for Instagram? Anyways, back to reality. Roxanne’s attempt is going to be oh so short because…” Zoey says.
“Oh, Zoey, I’m sorry, but you’re always so angry. And honestly, I don’t think anyone wants to see an angry NXT Women’s Champion, so I know you and Nikkita don’t like each other, but you don’t have to insult her. I mean, I don’t like Cora Jade, so I don’t call her an egotistical, self-centered, self-entitled, b–,” Wendy Choo says.
“Hey, Wendy, I’ve had enough of this,” says Cora as she climbs the barricade.
“OMG, so many girls, girl fight,” Thea Hail yells.
We see Indi going after Jacy, Nikkita and Gigi going at each other, Alba is on her way to the ring when Isla attacks her from behind. Then, we see Kiana James, Sol Ruca, Elektra Lopez, Amari Miller, Lash Legend, Fallon Henley.
We also see Isla focusing on Alba even as this chaos is going on. Isla kicking Alba who fights back, elbowing and pushing Isla away. Isla takes Alba backstage, they continue to battle it out, Roxanne’s music plays and the ladies stop fighting each other to listen.
“You don’t need to fight each other because I was just informed that next week will be a 20 woman battle royal and the winner will be the first woman to face me for the NXT Women’s Championship at Vengeance Day. Good luck everybody,” Roxanne says as the women continue to battle in the ring, a few referees trying to separate them.
Astrid’s Point
I enjoyed how this segment started having Gigi and Jacy still being highlighted even after Mandy’s departure. However, having all the ladies interrupt took a bit away from that promo and it made me think that due to Mandy’s sudden departure, they didn’t have plans for a contender for Roxanne. Having a 20-woman Battle Royal gives them a chance to plan something, and it gives so many possibilities. It was notable that even though Alba and Isla arrived during this segment, they were only focused on each other, showing they won’t be a part of this for the moment. Katana Chance and Kayden Carter were absent from this segment, only shown longer on having a chat with someone from the medical staff.

Alba Fyre vs. Isla Dawn – Extreme Resolution Match
They’re trading shots outside the building, Alba throwing Isla headfirst to the side of a trash compactor. Alba throws Isla to the side a few times then towards a gate then Isla kicks Alba’s midsection followed by pushing her towards the compactor.
Isla is holding onto Alba’s face, a referee trying to take her away, Alba sets up for a Gory Bomb, Isla is about to slide out of it, Alba kicks her midsection then throwing Isla towards a container, Isla then throws Alba onto a ladder, then throwing a cart with some supplies, then taking a few shots at Alba followed by throwing her onto a prop backstage. Isla takes a few shots at Alba’s back then while trying to pick her up, Alba reverses it and throws her on top of the prop, a few officials arrive to separate them, the ladies still going at it.
They have a back and forth, Alba picks up a steel weapon to hit Isla with, but she had moved, Isla throws a trash can at Alba. Isla picks up the same weapon Alba had in hand, holding her face with it, Alba pushing it towards Isla’s midsection. Alba goes to throw a ladder onto Isla, she is able to move away and avoid it. Isla shoves Alba, they make their way onto a higher structure backstage, trading shots until Alba pushes Isla down, she lands on some steel chairs.
Alba pushes her before firing some shots at her after picking her up and placing her on a desk chair. Alba hits Isla with a trash can lid and puts her on a wheelbarrow to ringside. Alba controls her, pushes Isla onto the commentary table, sends her inside the ring, and takes a steel chair.
They have a back and forth pulling the chair towards each other until Alba shoves it to Isla’s midsection, taking her to a corner, Alba goes to set up a suplex onto the steel chair, Isla is fighting it off then she’s able to suplex Alba towards the turnbuckles and a pin attempt. Isla takes Alba’s hand, throwing it onto the canvas then steps on it too.
Isla shoves the steel chair to Alba’s midsection, goes to hit her with it but Alba kicks the chair away. Alba hits Isla, who is smiling, she goes for a few shots and chops, Alba picks her up, she reverses it for her finisher, but Alba reverses it too. Alba kicks her for the Gory bomb and a pin attempt, but Isla kicks out.
Alba climbs to the top, Isla hits her with the steel chair, and Alba falls outside. Isla has a wrench with Alba’s fingers in it, she runs after Alba who responds with a shot to Isla. They trade shots, Isla headbutts Alba’s abdomen, goes to push her towards the ropes but Alba stops her, setting her up with a Gore Buster then a kick, she goes for another one but Isla ducks to avoid it, rolls up Alba.
Alba kicks Isla, she falls outside, Alba dives onto her. Alba looks for a table under the ring, Alba goes to hit the Gory Bomb, but Isla slips out of it and pushes Alba towards the steel steps. Isla places Alba’s hand on the toolbox and closes it then hits the hammer on it, but Alba escapes it and pushes the toolbox towards Isla. Alba is setting up a move, but Isla moves, grabbing Alba but Alba is able to move, and head butt her.
Alba places Isla on the table, climbs to the top turnbuckle, Isla smiles, and Alba leaps but misses. Alba performs the Gory Bomb on the table and pins Isla.
Astrid’s Point
I also liked the continuity from the women’s segment to this match, it’s rare to have a stipulation match that is given enough time plus they really started backstage for a while before they took the action to the ring. It was noted that Alba missed the spot with Isla being on top of the table and I’m glad they continued on instead of trying again. Having Isla smile and still offer herself for Alba’s move was interesting, she smiled beforehand, and Alba was able to be in control and win the match which I was surprised about.
Briggs, Jensen, Fallon Henley and Kiana James Segment
Since Fallon can focus on next week’s 20-woman Battle Royal, Briggs and Jensen are talking about how 2023 will be their year. Kiana arrives, she congratulates Fallon on the victory last week, she tells Brooks to text her. Jensen and Fallon are surprised by this.
Astrid’s Point
It was interesting that Kiana said Fallon beat her “fair and square” when Brooks distracted her when Fallon won. I wonder if she will be turning somewhat face due to this interaction.
NXT Anonymous Clip
A statement was made regarding the video as Vic said, “The video was sent to our NXT account, we don’t know what to make of it.” Chance and Carter weren’t happy about the post as they are seen having a discussion with a member of the medical staff.

Astrid’s Point
I was confused at first due to having Katana and Kayden’s tweets on the side there then I realized the video had been submitted by someone “anonymous.” We’ll see how this storyline works in the women’s division.
