Alexa Bliss is now the top contender for the Raw Women’s Championship held by Bianca Belair. The date of the match between Bliss and Belair has not been announced.
After delivering Twisted Bliss, she defeated Bayley to begin this week’s Raw. Bayley was accompanied to the ring by the champions of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Division. Before the match began, Becky Lynch, who had just arrived, attacked Kai and SKY, dragging them through the audience and away from the ring. Belair appeared ringside to observe the match.
After Bliss secured the victory, she attempted to give Belair a hug in the ring but was intercepted by Sister Abigail, the Raw Women’s Champion. She refused to execute the move that would have freed Belair as the two retreated. The Bray Wyatt symbol showed up on the big screen behind Belair just before Sister Abigail’s tease.
Candice LeRae was scheduled to face IYO SKY in the second match of the evening. The two have a long history from NXT, and LeRae hoped to finally defeat SKY.
LeRae had a segment with Johnny Gargano and Dexter Lumis backstage before the match. Nikki Cross continued to eavesdrop on LeRae for an additional week. SKY would ultimately win the match after performing her moonsault. Damage CTRL celebrated SKY’s victory in the ring. LeRae has yet to defeat SKY in a singles match.
In the third and final women’s match, Asuka faced Rhea Ripley. Even though we have recently witnessed this match, it felt different this time because Asuka entered the ring without her usual face makeup. During the match, it was mentioned that Asuka’s recent tweets were unusual. For those who are not up-to-date, Asuka has been posting frequently on social media since last week about her prior WWE character Kana.
After spitting mist in Dominik Mysterio’s face, Asuka would lose this match. Ripley was able to deliver the Riptide as a result.
Later this evening, Asuka tweeted: I’ll be on a trip for a while. I’ll be on 🪱🪳🦟 trip for a while.

It remains to be seen how long Asuka will be absent from WWE television. She is unlikely to be absent for an extended period.
