Becky Lynch Discusses Her Absence From Raw Since WM 38

Becky Lynch, the former Raw Women’s Champion, has been absent from the show’s last two episodes after losing the championship to Bianca Belair at WrestleMania 38. Lynch was queried about her whereabouts since the big event in a post on WWE’s social media.

On Sunday, at the WWE Live tour stop in Syracuse, Lynch shared the following thoughts.

“It’s been three years since the last time I walked out on RAW without the championship. I’m not ready to walk out on Monday Night RAW without my championship. I always have a plan, that’s why I’m here in Syracuse because I’m going to win back my championship. I will walk out tomorrow on Monday Night RAW as your new Women’s Champion.”

In a Triple Threat Match for the Raw Women’s Title, Lynch fought both champions, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley. Lynch’s plans didn’t exactly pan out. Lynch had more to say about Belair’s retention.

Coming back through the curtain I had a realization. And it was that I really did win. Because everytime I’ve lost in a big way in the past I’ve come back stronger. Did you notice that? Have you noticed that? Because at SummerSlam 2018 I didn’t win that championship match, but afterwards I became The Man and made a movement. I changed the game. And then at Royal Roumble 2019 I didn’t win the championship match but I came back and won the Royal Rumble and went on to win the main event of WrestleMania. The first time ever. So I really won, I won.”

Lynch’s appearance on Raw tonight is still up in the air since she has not been officially announced. However, a Women’s Tag Team Championship battle will take place between Sasha Banks and Naomi and challengers Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley. A double wedding will also take place, as Tamina marries Akira Tozawa and Dana Brooke, the 24/7 Champion, marries Reggie.

On the April 25 edition of Raw, Sonya Deville is set to compete for the championship against Belair. Charlotte Flair defended the SmackDown Women’s Championship against Aliyah on both events over the weekend. On both evenings, Flair won.
