However, based on a recent image Flair shared with NXT stars Zoey Stark and Alba Fyre, it appears that Flair is getting ready to return to the ring.
When Charlotte Flair defeated Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 38, she retained her title as the Smackdown Women’s champion. She was last seen at the subsequent pay-per-view WrestleMania Backlash, where she lost a high-stakes ‘I Quit’ match and her SmackDown Women’s championship to the Baddest Woman on the Planet, and then went on hiatus.
It was thought that The Queen took a break because she was getting married to her longtime partner, AEW superstar Andrade El Idolo. Many believed she would have returned by now, but recent reports indicate she took an extended break for personal reasons.
Recent hints dropped by the 14-time champion indicate that she will return. In a recent Instagram story post, Charlotte Flair thanked Zoey Stark and Alba Fyre for their assistance in the ring while they can be seen working out together inside the squared circle.
This past weekend at Survivor Series, the War Games match was said to feature Charlotte Flair as the fifth member of Bianca Belair’s team. However, that position was filled by Becky Lynch upon her return. Charlotte could make her comeback as a surprise participant in the 2023 Royal Rumble match, which would be the most logical place for her to do so.
