Damage CTRL Ends A Streak, While Liv Morgan Remains Undefeated

Today is a historic day for the WWE because Clash at the Castle, the company’s first significant event in the UK in 30 years, is currently taking place in Cardiff, Wales. Scottish Warrior Drew McIntyre will compete against Tribal Chief Roman Reigns in the main event.

Bayley, Dakota Kai & IYO SKY def. Bianca Belair, Alexa Bliss & Asuka

The night began with a major trios battle between Bayley, Dakota Kai, and Iyo Sky versus Bianca Belair, Asuka, and Alexa Bliss. Even though no titles were at stake, this match was undoubtedly one of the most eagerly awaited on the program.

When Bayley made her fierce comeback at SummerSlam, the whole WWE Universe was rocked. She was accompanied by IYO SKY and a returning Dakota Kai, so she wasn’t alone. They have now made it quite apparent that their goal is to dominate WWE.

Two weeks ago, Iyo and Dakota beat Asuka and Alexa in the WWE Women’s Tag Team Tournament. Damage Control was able to outsmart the babyface trio again during today’s match. By the end, Bianca was alone in the ring and took three finishers in a row. Iyo Sky hit Bianca with her signature moonsault before Bayley pinned the champion to win.

This is the first time Bianca has lost by pinfall since January, when she lost to Doudrop in a triple threat match. Her last overall loss was on an episode of Raw, when Becky Lynch got in the way. This almost makes sure that Bayley will get a shot at the Raw Women’s Championship soon.

Bianca was able to win against Bayley and keep the Smackdown Women’s Championship last year. Fans will have to wait and see if this time the EST can beat Bayley.

SmackDown Women’s Championship Match Liv Morgan (c) def. Shayna Baszler

Liv Morgan defended her WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler at the Clash at the Castle event.

Morgan began the bout with a flurry of attacks and maneuvers before the action spilled outside the ring and Shayna threw her into the barricade. This resulted in Baszler slowing the tempo of the match, which became the tale. Morgan, the babyface, is attempting to be quick while Shayna plans her strategy. Morgan defeated her with a code-breaker and a finishing for the victory.

Morgan won the gold for the first time at Money in the Bank on July 2, after cashing in on Ronda Rousey following Rousey’s championship defense against Natalya.

The popular figure has now successfully defended her title twice on television, following her SummerSlam victory over Rousey.
