Liv Morgan Speaks On Smackdown Women’s Title Reign

Former Staff

Liv Morgan won Money in the Bank and cashed in on Ronda Rousey to become Smackdown Women’s Champion. On July 2, Morgan won the Women’s Money in the Bank Ladder Match and cashed in on Ronda Rousey. It was her first title with the company.

Morgan told BT Sport that capturing her first WWE championship was a celebration of her 8-year career.

“I know that no matter what I do for the rest of my career, nothing will ever compare to Money in the Bank for me,” stated Liv Morgan. We just felt like it. I felt like thousands of friends and family were cheering me on as I completed a seemingly impossible goal. “I made up a word”

The champion said she soaked in the moment and has watched it back multiple times.

“I definitely took in many moments and tried to soak in as much of it as I possibly could, just standing their kind of looking around and just trying to just remember everyone’s faces and remember what I heard,” Morgan continued. “I mean I watched it back a million times, not going to lie. I watched me winning Money in the Bank and cashing in back one hundred times. Never gets old.”

Morgan is slate face future WWE Hall of Famer Natalya in a Championship Contender’s Match on WWE SmackDown this Friday night. In addition, she will defend the championship against Rousey at WWE Summer Slam. Time will tell how long Morgan’s reign lasts, but with the fans and WWE capitalizing on this moment, I do not see Morgan losing the title very soon.
