Mara Jade vs Tasha Steelz Knockout TV Tournament

There is a lot of speculation on how this Knockouts TV title tournament will go.

With TNA Hall of Famer Traci Brooks making this huge announcement a week ago and showing off a very impressive shiny new belt to crown an inaugural champ, there is a bit of anticipation. 

The TNA women’s roster in the past year has had great talent come through, but not a lot of memorable feuds. As they were constantly know for since the Knockouts inception. 

So maybe with establishing a TV title for the women, we can get some lasting feuds out of it. 

This tournament begins with former Knockouts single and tag team champion Tasha Steelz going against a promising and beloved rising star Mara Sade. 

This is my opinion, Tasha’s opportunity  to really get back into the title hunt after taking a step back to be apart of the Order 4 faction with Mustapha Ali as the leader. 

She could become a triple crown champion if she makes it to the top of this tournament. 

Tasha is very confident as she walks into this match without a doubt in her mind that this tournament is all hers. 

Mara Sade has really reinvented herself in TNA over the past few months and is a standout of the roster. The crowd is behind her as she comes into this match. 

Both women attempt to get a  pin in as soon as the bell rings. 

When this series of attempts at pins doesn’t work, the women take it out of the ring with Mara gaining control for a bit.

However, Tasha quickly gains her bearings to turn the tide in this matchup. 

Tasha gets a submission hold on Sadé to hold the lead, but Mara fights back to get out of the hold and stay in the game, to get one step closer to taking a possible win. 

Tasha takes a nasty fall after running into the turnbuckle when trying to attack Sade. This gives Mara time to take a dive unto Tasha when she’s trying recover on the outside. 

Mara has the crowd on fire as she takes it to Tasha with brutal kicks to the gut in the corner. 

Sade goes for the pin, by the veteran Tasha kicks out and turns it around to get a submission hold on Sade. 

It almost looks like she’s going to tap, but Sade gets energized and goes to the top rope. Delivering a spectacularly beautiful  moonsault and a pin to advance to the second round. 

This was a fast paced, match that showed off both women quite well.

After the match, we see Mustapha Ali come out and look quite disappointed in Tasha Steelz. As he grabs his phone and makes a call. All to the confusion of Tasha. 

Is this spelling the end of Mara’s time in Order 4?  Who knows. 

Congrats to Mara for advancing in the tournament that has already started off with a bang!
