Back at Money in the Bank 2019, Becky Lynch was Becky2Belts and had to defend both titles. She first defended the Raw Women’s Championship against Lacey Evans. Evans had just joined the main roster at the start of 2019; therefore, she didn’t make her ring debut until Royal Rumble 2019. She was the first entrant and lasted over 30 minutes.

After months of appearing on both Raw and SmackDown simply walking out to the crowd, waving and smiling, she was drafted to Raw during the Superstar Shake-Up post-WrestleMania she would go on to attack Becky Lynch marking her first major feud with Lynch which would lead to this match. In the last stages of the match, Evans almost fell from a knee strike after Lynch’s high-risk play. Lynch promptly locked in the DisarmHer after rolling through the ropes. Evans was near the ropes to cause a break.

Evans delivered a chop block and rolled up Lynch, but the official couldn’t see if both shoulders were down. Lynch rolled through into the Disarmher and cause Evans to tap out quickly. Which would allow Lynch to retain her Raw women’s championship in the process. However, after the match Lynch would defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Charlotte Flair. Seconds afterwards, Bayley cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase to become SmackDown Women’s Champion. Lynch would stay unbeaten until April 2020, when she had to vacate the championship to Asuka due to pregnancy.
