Trish Stratus is about to unleash her comedic chops in the wild, action-packed ride Karate Ghost! The WWE Hall of Famer has joined the cast of this hilarious '90s-inspired action-comedy directed by James Mark (Control), and let’s just say, it’s going to be a kickin’ good time.

In Karate Ghost, Trish takes on the role of Susan Fanshawe, an overzealous pageant queen turned karate mom who is obsessed with martial arts and determined to mold her daughter into a fighting machine. Picture a Miss America with a black belt, and you've got Susan – ready to toss out a pom-pom and throw down a roundhouse.
The laughs don’t stop there. The film also stars David Koechner (Anchorman, The Office) as Joe “Lightning” Brodsky, a washed-up karate champ who can’t stop telling tall tales of his glory days. He’s all ego, no timing, and totally hilarious. And then there’s Steve Howey (Shameless) as Rick Fanshawe, a delusional ex-fighter who’s clinging to his last shred of relevance by challenging the town's new karate sensation, Bobby Brody.
Set in a town ruled by karate, Karate Ghost follows Bobby Brody, a grieving teen who forms an unlikely bond with the ghost of his late father’s favorite action hero. What starts as a strange mentorship quickly spirals into a battle for identity, legacy, and redemption.
With an ensemble cast featuring Tim Rozon (Schitt’s Creek), Jim Belushi, Cathy Kelley (WWE), Natalie Zea (Justified, La Brea), and Michael Jai White (Spawn), this film is packed with laughs, action, and plenty of heart.
Filming is currently underway in Toronto, and the film is set to premiere at festivals and hit theaters in early 2026. U.S. distribution rights are still up for grabs, but with this powerhouse cast and the high-energy karate vibe, it’s sure to be a major hit. Get ready for a wild ride – Trish Stratus is about to bring some serious humor and action to the screen, and this is one film you won’t want to miss!
