WWE in particular has been fascinating in the wrestling world. Not only that, but January is almost at a close. While Vince’s son-in-law, Paul “Triple H” Levesque, continues to serve as COO and head of creative for the time being, Stephanie McMahon, Vince’s daughter, recently left the company just two weeks into the new year.
In addition, Triple H and Stephanie, about whom many have questioned whether they would manage their own promotion, are about to become a reality as there is a chance that WWE will be sold. Summer Rae, a former WWE superstar who made the suggestion while appearing on Busted Open Radio, said the power couple could always launch their own promotion. This prompted Mickie James, the current IMPACT Knockouts champion and six-time reigning WWE Divas and Women’s champion, to react right away. She only sees one possible outcome if one of them initiates their own promotion.
“Hunter might,” James stated. “I feel like Stephanie has aspirations to do other things. She’s so smart in the business world, but also like her imprint and the things she’s been doing in the office behind the scenes.” That imprint has affected many WWE superstars over the years, with McMahon earning praise from plenty of employees along the way. But James has always seen Stephanie’s role as being bigger than just WWE, especially for women. James added her statement saying: “I felt like she was positioning herself always to be on the Board of WWE but also to be more like her mother. Do more politics and do different stuff that’s like a bigger representation of women in business, and be like a brand of WWE.” What do you think? Let me know in the comments below
