This just in from Last Night’s AEW Dynamite as Hikaru Shida defeated Toni Storm to become a 2-time AEW Women’s Champion. Shida won it from Toni who previously was the Interim AEW Women’s Champion while Then champ Thunder Rosa was inactive with an injury at last year’s AEW All Out Pay-Per-View. The main event had not only the crowd buzzing but social media as well. Tampa fans were on the edge of their seats whether its close calls or some interference from Saraya and Soho of the Outcasts. In The End, Shida with the Outcasts’ spray paint on her face cradled Toni Storm after a kick out from Storm Zero.
In a Tweet, Hikaru commented on her victory thanking the fans for their support saying she couldn’t do it without them as she took a photo with the title this statement:
“I did it!! You all did it!! We did it together because i couldn’t do this without you guys! Thank you so much, i heard you this time 😭✨”
