Indi Hartwell has been enjoying her victory in the NXT Women’s Title Ladder match at NXT Stand & Deliver after becoming the new champion of the organization. She made a guest appearance on WWE’s “The Bump” and waxed lyrical about how much the victory meant to her, not only because Dexter Lumis helped her win the title but also because she was able to celebrate with members of her former faction Candice LeRae, Johnny Gargano, and Dexter Lumis after Gargano’s victory over Grayson Waller.
“That moment was one of the best moments I’ve had in WWE,” Hartwell gushed. “I’ve been through so much with The Way. We’re like a family, we’re a family on TV but we’re like a family in real life.”
Hartwell said it was nice to have a reunion with The Way in front of a crowd as so much of the group’s time during the Thunderdome era. Indi became Emotional when she walked through the curtain seeing LeRae after winning The NXT Women’s Championship. Hartwell says the following:
There’s no one else I would rather come back through the curtain to,” Hartwell said. “She said she didn’t even cry when Johnny [Gargano] won his “NXT” Title, so that meant the world to me, and I didn’t think that I was going to get emotional but seeing her cry and get emotional made me emotional.”
Hartwell also said what made it more special is that LeRae was NXT Women’s Tag Team Champions with Hartwell as it was India’s first title she ever held in WWE. “[Candice] never got to win the “NXT” Women’s Championship but I know that she’s living through me.”
Future challengers like Cora Jade, who attacked Hartwell on the April 4th episode of NXT while also being sidetracked by Zoey Stark, may make it difficult for Hartwell to retain the NXT women’s championship. Only Time will tell when Hartwell will have revenge on both women.
