REPORT: Roxanne Perez “Cleared” To Return To The Ring

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports that Roxanne Perez is healthy and ready to compete. On the most recent episode of “Wrestling Observer Radio,” Meltzer announced that the “NXT” Women’s Champion is now free to compete again. The champion passed out in the ring after Meiko Satomura defeated Perez in a memorable match at WWE Roadblock on March 7.

The information we have about Perez’s health is conflicting. Meltzer stated that “hopefully nothing is wrong” last week in reference to the ambiguity of the situation. In a video that was broadcast on “NXT,” Dr. Warren Becker gave fans an update on Perez’s condition. He said that while she is doing well, it is still unclear what exactly caused her to collapse. He also gave no estimated time frame for her recovery. The incident at Roadblock, according to Fightful, was purely an angle, though.

The ladder match for the title at Stand & Deliver on April 1 would be preceded by qualifying matches, according to WWE Senior Vice President of Talent Development Creative Shawn Michaels.

So far, Gigi Dolan and Zoey Stark have earned spots in the match. Dolin defeated Kiana James, while Stark defeated Sol Ruca.

Roxanne Perez won the “NXT” Women’s Championship on December 13 after defeating Mandy Rose. The former Ring of Honor Women’s World Champion won the “NXT” championship in front of her coach, WWE Hall of Famer and “NXT” commentator Booker T, and the entire commentary team.
