Prior to leaving WWE in May of this year with her tag team partner Naomi, Sasha Banks openly expressed her desire to pursue career opportunities outside of professional wrestling. Sasha has made numerous red carpet and runway fashion appearances since the walkout.
The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion wants to act or produce in Hollywood. After making a Twitter announcement a few days earlier, Banks appears to have the upper hand:
Just wrapped my first movie in #Bosston 🥹😭 — Mercedes Moné Varnado (@MercedesVarnado) December 4, 2022
Though the specifics of her first movie role remain undisclosed at the time of writing, it is known that filming’s were done in her hometown of Boston, Massachusetts. Despite this being the first movie role for “The Boss,” Sasha Banks is not completely new to the acting industry. Banks’ role as Koska Reeves in Disney+’s “The Mandalorian” attracted non-wrestling Star Wars fans.

“The Boss” wants to keep making waves in mainstream entertainment as Mercedes Varnado, despite WWE fans’ doubts.
