Skye Blue is a Future Star in AEW

Skye Blue is one of the youngest AEW stars. She made her AEW debut against Britt Baker on April 12, 2021. Prior to joining AEW, Skye was a rising star in independent wrestling. Skye wrestled Sierra in 2017 for Premier Pro Wrestling. F1rst Wrestling, NWA, and GCW have featured her. Skye, 23, has wrestled for 5 years and won 200 matches.

Skye lost her second AEW match against Abadon on April 19, 2021’s, Dark: Elevation. Blue wasn’t seen on AEW programming again until September 1, 2021, when she faced Riho on AEW Dark: Elevation. She regularly appeared on AEW shows. Her first PPV match was the Casino Battle Royal at All Out 2021. On October 6, 2021, she debuted on Rampage and lost to Jade Cargil. Skye appeared on AEW Dark and AEW Dark: Elevation.

Skye’s first Dynamite match was against Serena Deeb on January 19, 2022. In a Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament qualifying match on March 30, 2022, she faced Jamie Hayter. Skye lost but tried hard. Dynamite and Rampage keep giving her matches.

Skye teamed with Willow Nightingale and Trish Adora against Jade Cargil and the Baddies (Keira Hogan and Red Velvet) on April 27, 2022’s, Rampage. She and Dante Martin challenged Tay Melo and Sammy Guevara for the AAA World Mixed Tag Team Titles. Skye lost both matches, but she looked great in the mixed tag match when she hit Guevara with offensive moves. Even though Skye lost both matches, people started paying attention to her.

She was seen supporting Toni Storm in her match against Serena Deeb for the interim AEW Women’s Championship on September 28, 2022’s, Dynamite. Skye was on last week’s Dynamite with Madison Rayne, who gushed about her. This brought Tay Melo and Anna Jay Tay-Jay A.S. to the interview, leading to a verbal exchange and a match announcement for the following Friday on Rampage. Skye and Madison lost to Tay and Anna, but it was another impressive showing for Skye.

The future is bright for Skye Blue. Skye is only five years into her career at the age of 23, so she is just getting started. Skye’s contract status with AEW is unknown, but independent promotions must contact AEW to book her.

Skye will improve with more matches and TV time. Working closely with Madison Rayne will help her career by giving her credibility and teaching her great promo skills, since Madison is one of the best in the industry on the microphone. Skye Blue’s AEW and outside promotions have me excited. I think she could be a huge star in AEW’s Women’s division within two years.
