The Virtuosa Conquers Multiverse United

Updated: Aug 2, 2023

Last week, IMPACT! Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling bring their best talent to Los Angeles. The Globe Theatre is home to this year’s Multiverse United!

Due to an injury, Mickie James is not able to defend her Knockouts World Championship as planned. In addition, James is replaced with Masha Slamovich, and the stipulation of the match changes.

During this time, we send our thoughts to James and hope for a speedy recovery.

Alongside Slamovich, Deonna Purrazzo, Gisele Shaw, and Miyu Yamashita face off to determine who will go on to Rebellion. Nevertheless, Deonna Purrazzo proves that she is the strongest. With this win, Purrazzo stamps her ticket to Rebellion. In just a few weeks, Purrazzo faces off with the former champion Jordynne Grace.

This is quite interesting knowing the history between Grace and Purrazzo. Their feud reignites at Rebellion and each of them will pull out all the stops to get their hands back on the gold.

However, it will not be that easy. There are a few things to consider before finalizing the one on one match between Grace and Purrazzo. As we know, James is still the current champion even though she is unable to compete.

Now, if James is cleared by Rebellion, she will join Grace and Purrazzo in that match. However, if James is not cleared, she must relinquish the championship and a new champion will be crowned.
