As Interim AEW Women’s World Champion, Toni Storm is off to a great start.
On the September 7 episode of AEW Dynamite, Toni Storm faced Penelope Ford in a singles elimination match. If Ford had won, she would have qualified for a title match. However, after nearly six minutes, Storm emerged triumphant.

The match was near the end of the first hour. A recent trend after months of women’s matches being scheduled for later spots in the show.
While Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara were conducting a backstage interview, Tay Melo and Anna Jay made cameo appearances.

Apart from Jamie Hayter refusing to speak to Britt Baker after their encounters in the four-way at All Out, no other ladies were directly visible on the broadcast after that.
