This Sunday, March 5th, AEW’s Revolution event is set to take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California. It has been announced that Jamie Hayter will be defending her AEW Women’s Championship in a triple threat at Revolution. She will be taking on her rival, Toni Storm, as well as Ruby Soho. Jamie Hayter has been having issues with Toni Storm for a while; in fact, Toni Storm was who Jamie Hayter defeated at Full Gear 2022 for the AEW Women’s Championship.
Toni Storm has recently had an attitude change since losing the Championship and teaming up with Saraya this past January. The duo has drawn a battle line between “homegrown” AEW talent and talent that came in from other major companies. They have identified Jamie Hayter and Britt Baker as targets and have been feuding with them for weeks. Ruby Soho is still undecided about which side she will take.
Soho holds a singles win over Toni Storm from the January 25th edition of Dynamite. Ruby defeated Storm and Britt Baker in a Triple Threat match on February 15th’s Dynamite to defeat Toni again. Ruby Soho entered after Jamie and Britt fought Saraya and Toni, revealing that she wanted the AEW Women’s Championship but wasn’t on their team. Whether outside interference affects the Revolution match is intriguing. Jamie Hayter usually has Britt Baker and/or Rebel by her side during matches, while Toni Storm has Saraya. Ruby Soho may be vulnerable to outside interference at Revolution because she appears to have no allies.
The only women’s match scheduled for Revolution is the triple threat match for the AEW Women’s Championship. There has been no word and no indication that Jade Cargill will be defending her TBS Championship at Revolution.
Revolution will also feature MJF vs. Bryan Danielson in a 60-minute Iron Man Match for the AEW Championship, The Gunns vs. the Acclaimed vs. Jeff Jarrett, and Jay Lethal vs. a team to be determined tonight on Dynamite. Wardlow vs. Samoa Joe for the TNT Championship, Jon Moxley vs. Hangman Adam Page in a Texas Deathmatch, and the Elite defending the Trio Championship against the House of Black.
